Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

DEI Committee

The Committee is responsible for organizing relevant trainings, workshops, seminars and discussions; conducting an annual graduate student climate survey; coordinating a mentoring program for pre-tenure faculty; supporting a Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) affinity group; and organizing other activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the diversity, equity, and inclusivity of the department.

BIPOC Affinity Group
The BIPOC affinity group is a supportive group of students and faculty in the department who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color). We have a Slack channel and will organize at least one meeting per semester. For any department members interested in joining the BIPOC affinity group, please contact Sandy Wong at swong@fsu.edu.
