Research Activities

I worked with the Gulf Coast Joint Venture to determine if weather parameters explain abundance of shallow wetland habitat along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts. Satellite imagery was used to obtain estimates of wetland habitat. Gridded climate data and GIS technology was used to compute average temperature and total precipitation values. Correlation analysis was used to understand the relationships between weather variables and habitat abundance.
