FLORIDA, TALLAHASSEE 32306. Florida State University. The Department of Geography invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Human Geography to begin August 2016. The successful applicant will be expected to pursue research, secure external funding, and teach topical courses within human geography. Area of research specialization is open; we are seeking a candidate whose work usefully complements and creates synergies with existing faculty. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and research and whose work shows potential to contribute to cutting-edge theoretical debates within human geography. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. A PhD in geography or a related area is required.
